In an effort to raise awareness of the P&C industry to the next generation, RSA partnered up with University of Toronto for their UNIC 2019 Case Competition.
The UNIC case competition provides a unique experience for university students to learn innovative case themes. Our case theme: Shaping a smarter tomorrow. Participants competed in teams to win up to $3000 in prizes and a chance to intern at RSA over the summer.
Over 55 teams applied to compete and 5 impressive teams took the stage on March 29th to present their cases to our RSA judges; CEO Martin Thompson, SVP of Underwriting & Chief Underwriting Officer Steve Cohen and Director of Governance Tara Lessard-Webb.
Huge congratulations to Lichang (Mason) Li, Xiaoke (Skylar) Zeng, Kelly Yang and Elzat Ylilzhati for winning first place with their bold green infrastructure idea, standout presentation and future thinking mindset.
RSA hopes this competition will help us to draw in top talent into the industry and reinforce our drive to support our brokers and customers.
