We are proud and excited to share that RSA Canada has been selected as a finalist by the Insurance Business Canada Awards for 2020 in three top award categories. Additionally, two of RSA’s own, Lori Craig and Cathy Anderson, have been nominated for distinguished individual awards.
These awards showcase the outstanding brokers, brokerages, insurers, underwriters, MGAs and risk managers for their achievements, innovation and leadership in the industry. We are honoured to be shortlisted as we know Insurance Business Canada holds these nominations to a high standard.
The finalists were selected following an open call for nominations to Insurance Business’ nationwide readership of 37, 800 insurance professionals. With nominations being open to all insurance professionals and organizations – we are grateful to be named as a finalist in five award categories.
RSA Canada has been selected as a finalist the P&C Insurer of the year, an award of excellence recognizing an insurance company in Canada that provides top-tier property and casualty insurance products to customers and businesses with an exemplary level of customer service. This acknowledgement exemplifies that we are on the right track to being best-in-class.
Our second finalist announcement goes out to our Broker Marketing team, nominated for the insurance business readers’ choice award for best advertising campaign, for their Expert Advice campaign. Our Expert Advice content strategy is a dedicated space on the Insurance Business website where RSA offers advice from our experts to help keep brokers on top of industry trends. With two articles shared each month, some recent topics include “Uncomplicating condo coverage”, “How might and economic slowdown impact commercial insurance in Canada?” and “Crafting climate resilience.” This award nomination recognizes the effectiveness, reach and creativity of this campaign, directed to brokers and advice professionals.
RSA Canada has also be selected as a finalist for the Insurance industry employer choice award – speaking to our reputation in the industry as well as to our people. Our purpose is Making Life Better, Together and this cannot be achieved without the commitment of our employees and their commitment to our broker partners.
In addition to company-wide accolades, two of RSA Canada’s employees have been chosen as finalists for prestigious individual awards.
Lori Craig has been selected as a finalist for Underwriter of the Year. Lori is the National Technical Consultant for Personal Insurance (PI) in the National Underwriting Operations & Optimization Team at the Mississauga Gateway Centre office. This award recognizes the underwriter whose expertise and outstanding service to brokers helps ensure proper coverage is placed efficiently and effectively. Lori is well-known for her expertise and wide scope of knowledge as well as her willingness to help people. An Underwriting Team Leader recently said, “There’s nothing like calling a broker to discuss something complicated when you are armed with the "whys" that Lori has provided. Thank you for enabling me to have educated conversations with our broker partners.” We are proud to have Lori!
Cathy Anderson has been selected as a finalist for Business Development Manager of the Year. This award recognizes the individual BDM within the insurance space who is pushing the envelope in business development, client service and education, and has demonstrated commitment to brokers and developing knowledge of markets. Cathy demonstrates success in creating opportunities for growth and providing ideas to support RSA for her region in Ontario. Her commitment to brokers through education, updates and research is just one of the many ways she shines. Cathy makes an effort to always go above and beyond to find a solution no matter what the situation is. Thank you for all that you do Cathy!
Congratulations to both Lori and Cathy, as well as to all those at RSA Canada whose dedication has contributed to the success of our business.
